Format: Drivers raced with high speed on a sled down an ice track through curved, high-speed turns. The luge drivers were situated on their back on the sled with their feet stretched out in front of them. The competition was held over two days and consisted of four runs for each driver - two each day. The driver with the fastest total time for the four runs was the winner of the Gold Medal.
