Olympic Games DatabaseThe Olympian Database project includes over 60 sports in the Olympics that are part of the current Summer and Winter Olympic Games or have been part of earlier Olympics, e.g. cricket and polo.It should be noted that this list of Olympic sports does not follow the official IOC term for a sport. This is due to the fact that the IOC for example uses the term "aquatics" which then contains what is normally referred to as a number of different sports. In order to stay close to normal use of words in the sporting world we have tried to differentiate between sports accordingly. | |||||||
