Men's Downhill - Alpine Skiing - Cortina d'Ampezzo 1956 Winter Olympics

Each skier ran a single race down a steep downhill course. Downhill was the Alpine Skiing event with the longest course and the highest speed. The Gold Medal winner was the skier with the best time for the race. Event facts: Men's Downhill competition was held at the Tofana di Mezzo and 75 athletes participated in the event. |
