Event Format: Each team consisted of four athletes and the Nordic Combined Team competition included a single ski jump from a large hill for each athlete in the team and a 4x5 km cross country ski relay for each team. In the first element points was scored for the distance and style in the ski jump. The team with the most total ski jumping points for the four jumps started first in the cross country relay element followed by the next best team, after a gap that reflected the difference in the total jumping scores, and so on. The Gold medal was the team whose final athlete crossed the finishing line first. Event facts: Men's Team competition was held at the Alpensia Cross-Country Centre and 10 teams participated in the event. |
