Women's Halfpipe - Freestyle Skiing - PyeongChang 2018 Winter Olympics
Event Format: In halfpipe the skiers competed in a halfpipe-shaped course. The speed from the slope allowed skiers to come up over the edge of the pipe and perform difficult aerial tricks. Points were given by 5 judges. The competition format included a qualifying round and a final round, with two runs per athlete in each round. The 12 best athletes in the qualifying round were qualified to the final. The Olympic gold medal winner was the athlete with the best single result in the final. Event facts: Women's Halfpipe competition was held at the Phoenix Snow Park and 24 athletes participated in the event. |
