* Ekaterina Lebedeva RUS was sanctioned by IOC for an anti-doping rule violation according to IOC Disciplinary Commissions desicion of December 11 2017. February 1 2018 CAS stated that the sanctions against 28 Russian athletes, including Ecaterina Lebedeva, were annulled and their individual results achieved in Sochi 2014 reinstated.

* Anna Shibanova RUS disqualified for an anti-doping rule violation according to IOC Disciplinary Commissions desicion of December 11 2017. Procedures about the disqualification are still in progress and the information in the list are not yet final.

February 1 2018 CAS stated that the sanctions against 28 Russian athletes, including Tatiana Burina, were annulled and their individual results achieved in Sochi 2014 reinstated.

* Anna ShchukinaRUS was sanctioned by IOC for an anti-doping rule violation according to IOC Disciplinary Commissions desicion of December 22 2017. February 1 2018 CAS stated that the sanctions against 28 Russian athletes, including Anna Shchukina, were annulled and their individual results achieved in Sochi 2014 reinstated.

Women's Ice hockey - Ice Hockey - Sochi 2014 Winter Olympics

Event Format: Women's ice hockey tournament was a competition between 8 national teams and the competition included two preliminary groups, quarterfinals, classification matches for position no. 5-8, semifinals, Bronze medal match and Gold medal match. In the two preliminary groups with four teams in each group every team played against all others in the group. The two winners of the groups advanced directly to the semifinals and the number two and three teams in the groups played two quarterfinals for the semifinals. The Olympic champions was the team winning the Gold medal match.
