Event Format: Athletes competed in the final and in preliminary heats. The top athletes in each preliminary heat (Q) advanced to the final. The rankings in a race were based on points received during the race. The winners of the race received 60, 40 and 20 points and the winners of some intermediate sprints received 5, 3 and 1 points. The rankings were based on the finish time for athletes with equal points. Event facts: Women's Mass Start competition was held at the Gangneung Speed Skating Oval and 24 athletes participated in the event. |
