Format: Each skier ran two races down the slalom course. In the slalom event the skiers had to pass a number of gates marked with poles. In slalom the gates were placed much closer than in the giant slalom event and the skiers had to make quicker and shorter turns. The Gold Medal winner was the athlete with the best total time for the two races.
