Format: Athletes will compete in the final and in preliminary heats. The top athletes in each preliminary heat (Q) advance to the final. The rankings in a race are based on points received during the race. The winners of the race receive 60, 40 and 20 points and the winners of some intermediate sprints receive 5, 3 and 1 points. The rankings are based on the finish time for athletes with equal points.
