Event Format: The snowboarders will compete two against each other on two side-by-side giant slalom courses. After a qualifying round the 16 athletes with the best results compete under a knock-out system with round of 16, quarterfinals, semifinals and finals. Each match in the knock-out rounds consists of two heats as the riders switch courses in heat 1 and 2. The combined time for the two heats is used to decide the winner.
