Event Format: Cross Country skiing at the Olympic Games consists of twelve events, six for women and six for men. The events are individual start, mass start, pursuit, team relay, sprint and team sprint. In Team Sprint the teams consist of two skiers alternate skiing one leg each on a 1,5 km course. A race consists of six legs, three legs to each skier. From a qualifying round the ten fastest teams run a final and the winner is the team to finish first in the final.
