Mixed Relay - Biathlon - Sochi 2014 Winter Olympics
Event Format: There were two women and two men on each team in the Mixed Team Relay race competing in that order. All participating teams started at the same time. There were two shooting stages in each leg, the first one in a prone position and the second one in a standing position, all with three extra bullets to be loaded by hand if necessary. For each missed target after the extra shots the biathlete had to ski a 150-meter penalty loop immediately after shooting. The team whose final skier was the first to cross the finishing line was the winner of the Gold Medals.
