Women's Singles - Table Tennis

Event Format: The competition was a single elimination tournament where the winner of each match advanced to the next round. Players competed in a qualification round, preliminary rounds, quarterfinals, semifinals and finals. The 12 lowest ranked players on the world ranking list participated in the the qualification. Players ranked 33-70 joined the competition in round 1, players ranked 17-32 in round 2 and the 16 top ranked players in round 3.

Event facts: Women's Singles competition was held at the ExCel and 70 athletes participated in the event.
