Men's Slalom - Alpine Skiing - Oslo 1952 Winter Olympics
Event Format: Skiers ran two races down the slalom course but only the 32 fastest in first run were qualified for second run. In the slalom event the skiers had to pass a number of gates marked with poles. In slalom the gates were placed much closer than in the giant slalom event and the skiers had to make quicker and shorter turns. The Olympic gold medal winner was the athlete with the best total time for the two races. Event facts: Men's Slalom competition was held at the Norefjell and 86 athletes participated in the event. |
