Women's Super-G - Alpine Skiing - Albertville 1992 Winter Olympics
Event Format: Each skier ran a single race down the Super-G (Super Giant Slalom) course. Super-G is a discipline with elements from both the downhill event and the giant slalom event. With high speed the skiers had to pass some widely placed gates and make some long turns. The Gold Medal winner was the skier with the fastest time for the race. Event facts: Women's Super-G competition was held at the Face Bellevarde, Val d'Isere and 59 athletes participated in the event. |
