Format: Men's decathlon will include ten events held over a two-days period. On the first day the athletes compete in 100 m, long jump, shot put, high jump and 400 m. On the second day they compete in 110 m hurdles, discus throw, pole vault, javelin throw and 1500 m. Rules for the events are generally the same as for the individual events. Points are scored according to a points-table approved by IAAF.
