Olympic event format at the 2023 Olympic Games - Judo Format: The competition was a single elimination tournament and the teams competed against each other in preliminary rounds, quarterfinals, semifinals and finals. The teams nominated up to twelve athletes of which six entered the mat in each round. A match was finished when one af the teams had won four of the six bouts in the match.
