Format: In the cross country team sprint the teams consisted of two skiers. A race consisted of 6 legs on an app. 1,5 km course, three legs for each skier and the two skiers took turns. The event began with a qualifying round in which the participating teams were divided in two heats. The top finishers in each heat advanced to the final. The winner of the World Championship was the team that crossed the finishing line first after 6 legs in the final.
