Event Format: In the preliminary round wrestlers were separated into groups of three or four wrestlers and with a round-robin tournament held in each group. The winners of each group advanced to a single elimination tournament with quarterfinals, semifinals and finals. Event facts: Men's Greco-Roman middleweight competition was held at the Ano Liossia Olympic Hall and 22 athletes participated in the event. |
