Format: The curling matches were played on ice between two teams with four players on each team. A match consisted of ten "ends". In an "end" each player delivered two stones towards the "house". After all 16 stones were delivered the points score for the "end" was determined. The team with the most points after ten "ends" was the winner of the match. In the qualification round for semifinals each team played against all others in a pre-defined order. The four teams with most wins entered the semifinals and the medal matches.
