Event Format: The figure skating team event was a competition between 10 national teams with the following 8 elements: Women's short program, men's short program, pairs short program, ice dancing short dance, women's free program, men's free program, pairs free program and ice dancing free dance. Points for the performances were given by 9 judges. Only the 5 teams with the best points score after all short programs were admitted to compete in the free programs. The Olympic champions was the team with the best total points score for all short programs and all free programs. Event facts: Team competition was held at the Iceberg Skating Palace and 10 teams participated in the event. |
