| * Nesta Carter JAM disqualified for doping according to IOC Disciplinary Commissions desicion of January 13, 2017 after a re-analysis of his samples from 2008. In May 2018 the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS) denied an appeal from Carter and the disqualication of the Jamaican team was final.

Event Format: Teams competed in preliminary heats and final. The best teams from each heat (Q) and a number of "lucky losers" (q) advanced to the final. The winner of the final was the winner of the Gold Medal. Event facts: Men's 4x100 m competition was held at the Beijing National Stadium and 16 teams participated in the event. |
