Women's Football - Football - Sydney 2000 Summer Olympics
Event Format: The format for the Football tournament included a preliminary group stage followed by quarterfinals, semifinals and finals. In the preliminary phase the participating teams were split into pools in a round robin format with each team playing every other team in their pool. The top eight Football teams advanced to the quarterfinals. Event facts: Women's Football competition was held at the Stadium Australia and 8 teams participated in the event. |
