Format: The mixed pair event comprised of a short program including some compulsory elements and a free program including lifts, spirals, throws and synchronized jumps. Points for the performances were given by a number of judges. Only the 16 pairs with the best points score after the short program were admitted to run the free program. The Gold Medal was won the pair with the best total score for the short program and the free program.
