| * A member of the Norwegian team (Tony Andre Hansen) disqualified for horsedoping according to The Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS)’ final decision in January 2009. Hansen was banned for four month and the Norwegian team was stripped of the bronze medals in the team competition. ** Two members of the German team (Christian Ahlmann and Marco Kutcher) disqualified for horsedoping. *** Two members of the Brazilian team (Rodrigo Pessoa and Bernardo Resende) disqualified for horsedoping.
Event Format: Four riders teams competed in two rounds. Best three scores in each round counted for the total score for the team. Top eight teams and ties in round one advanced to round two. The team competition was held as a separate competition. Event facts: Jumping team competition was held at the Hongkong Olympic Equestrian Venue and 15 teams participated in the event. |
