Men's Halfpipe - Snowboard - Nagano 1998 Winter Olympics
Event Format: In halfpipe the snowboarders competed in a halfpipe-shaped course. The speed from the slope allowed the riders to come up over the edge of the pipe and perform difficult aerial tricks. The competition included qualifying rounds where the top athletes (Q) advanced to the final. The Gold Medal winner was the athlete winning the final.
